Housing/Home Improvement Program
The Housing Program provides better quality of life for older adults through advocacy, support and quality affordable housing enhancing their ability to remain independent.
Growing older is a fact of life and moving can be very difficult. A variety of housing options in Cleveland County, make it possible to match individual needs and desires.
Home Improvement Services enable older adults to secure and/or maintain maximum independence and dignity by helping meet the basic needs for shelter as well as information about housing financing alternatives and housing with service options.
Apartments managed by Council on Aging are available to seniors 62 and older who meet income eligibility requirements, currently serving 85 residents.
Affordable housing and other housing option to 55 and above currently serving 35 residents.
Over 205 individual were provided with assessment inspection programs, placement, or home repairs.
