Volunteer Program
Volunteers work in all areas of service from administration to Senior Center operation, Services and Housing enhancing staff time and accomplishments. Opportunities include cooking delivering meals, hostess, receptionist, instructor, teachers, gift shop clerk, data entry, health screening, senior games, special events, home repairs, yard work, transportation, legal/tax aid, entertainment, board involvement and numerous other areas are available.
Volunteer staff receives honor and award recognition for achievement, loyalty, longevity, Volunteer effort, hands on involvement and personal devotion provide the most benefit to both recipient and volunteer. The miracle of people to people interaction brings great satisfaction.
Over 45,000 volunteer hours were contributed by 600 volunteers during 2004 to provide service to Cleveland County older adults through the Senior Volunteer Program.
